About

The article section will mainly parts from my books, or essays meant for a future book. If from a book on this site, then the article link and content will most likely not change. However, for essays not from books, they will be published here only temporarily. That is, most new essays–not in books–will most likely be one later. And so, these could be changed and/or deleted in the future.

Summary:

The Christian through God’s revelation finds that they are on the right path from the start. God has not only given His beloved Children an indomitable first principle that describes the world as it is, but it reveals a God who came down to this dusty earth and did something wonderful. God did the planning. He did the saving and redeeming. He did the heavy lifting Himself and saved His chosen ones. And now, the same endless power that caused light to burst out of the void of darkness, that power which raised Jesus Christ from the grave, also surges in the souls of His children to believe, love and hope.

NOTES:

For almost twenty years I have read pastor Vincent Cheung, and for the past decade his materials have been my main theological diet. I do not have any affiliation with him; I do not represent him. I do believe I am able to restate his position, but you will have to be the judge of that by reading his own publications. When I quote him, take it that I am only agreeing with him on that narrow point and not that I agree with him broadly on that topic. Even when I quote him, what I write are my thoughts, not his. Vincent has no connection in instructing me (other than a few emails, which is not a real connection in a meaningful way) and I can make mistakes, thus, always use his materials for any official representation of him.

This has resulted in his teaching is soaking and permeating into much of my thoughts and rhythm, even when I do not realize it. I do not mind this on a personal level, because I agree with him most of the time. I am fine with this; I even prefer it for my spiritual life. However, for public writing and publishing this can be a hindrance at times. And so, to avoid plagiarizing, I will walk the safe route and shamelessly quote him on certain points.
